Imagine being able to naturally reduce chronic pain and stiffness, improve your body’s shock-absorbing capacity, increase your muscle health, and enjoy fluid, effortless movement — by rewiring your brain and developing your neuroplasticity through simple, mindful movements.
Take a moment and have a little walk around your living room.
As you move, notice your body. Do your hips sway naturally? Are your shoulders and spine relaxed? Or does your movement feel stiff, rigid, or even a little robotic?
Many of us recognize that the routines of daily life — sitting at a computer, lifting and carrying heavier items, or minding the garden — create habits, repetitive movements, and postures that can ultimately lead to chronic pain, tension, and a sense of being “stuck” in our movements.
Did you know that responding to injuries, trauma, and physical and emotional stressors can have the same impact?
In response to this pain and tension, we armor ourselves by “hunkering down” and moving within a very small bubble, says Heidi Hadley, a Certified Clinical Somatic Educator and the founder of Total Somatics®. This restrictive approach to movement creates continuous contraction, and our brain forgets that we can actually enjoy a much larger range of mobility.
This dynamic is called sensory motor amnesia (SMA), which results in a cycle of muscle tightness, stiff joints, and persistent pain. More specifically, SMA can lead to a wide variety of destabilizing and unpleasant chronic issues — including a rounded back, herniated discs, and joint dislocation — and make you more likely to hurt yourself during exercise (or even doing the laundry).
The good news is that you can retrain or rewire your brain, affirms Heidi, through easy-to-do targeted somatic movements, particularly a technique known as pandiculation — a natural, neuromuscular technique and alternative to stretching that enables you to improve your brain’s ability to move your muscles with ease as it calms your nervous system and allows deep relaxation.
Some call pandiculation “nature’s reset,” because animals instinctively do it throughout their days. (Picture a cat waking up from a nap.)
In her 20+ years of experience helping clients reduce pain and recover from injuries, surgeries, and more, Heidi’s treated many people who attempted a variety of practices — yoga, stretching, Tai Chi, Pilates, and more — but hadn’t found a solution to their challenges... until they met her!
When you Join Heidi in this free online event, you’ll learn how you can start developing your neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to adapt and create new neural pathways — with just a few pandicular movements, so your mind can communicate more effectively with your muscles, enabling you to release tension and restore your body’s natural rhythm.
Heidi will show you how to reintroduce efficient muscle memory through an approach rooted in the natural mechanics of your body — particularly the principle that when one side of your body contracts, the other side releases.
This dynamic movement pattern, where, for example, the ribcage and hips rotate in opposite directions, is essential for fluid motion, balance, and resilience.
If you’ve ever been frustrated by your body’s apparent limitations, this event is for you!
In this hour-long free online event, you’ll:
- Learn about sensory motor amnesia (SMA) and how it contributes to your recurring injuries or pain
- Be guided in a few pandiculation techniques to increase your muscle memory and your spine’s ability to spiral more effectively — introducing the concept that when one side of your body contracts, the other side lengthens and releases
- Experience how pandiculation helps you restore efficient muscle memory, length, and function so you can improve your mobility and reduce tension — after just a few short movement practices
- Explore how your emotional and physical health are interconnected and, by increasing your neuroplasticity and changing your thought patterns, you can rewire your brain and break pain cycles
- Discover how mindfulness enhances clinical somatic movement by increasing your connection with your body, which enables you to break deeply ingrained, unconscious movement habits so you can experience an immediate sense of ease and improved posture
With over two decades of experience, Heidi uses her natural and transformative methods to empower people worldwide to reduce chronic pain, improve posture and mobility, and enhance mindfulness.
She can help you regain control of your body and attain optimal wellbeing by integrating movement, mindset, mindfulness, and neuroplasticity to achieve sustainable, long-term results.
When you join us, you’ll also be among the first to hear details of Heidi’s upcoming 7-week live video course — a transformative journey that will empower you to relieve chronic pain, reduce stress, and enhance your overall sense of health and freedom.

What People Are Saying About Heidi Hadley...
Heidi is an excellent teacher. I have been and still am an eager student of Hanna Somatics, and I was looking for a course that I could share with others that would teach Hanna Somatics with a video component. This course not only meets that need, but exceeds it. Heidi adds to Hanna’s teachings with some excellent exercises and explanations.
This course has been very educational for me and has given me knowledge that I can use to help alleviate tightness in the back and hip areas. Heidi is calm, friendly, and moves at a good pace (not too fast, not too slow).
Heidi, I just want to share how lucky I feel to have found you, how professional you are, how your program is brilliant because it has all the answers in it. It’s been life-saving because thanks to you and only you, I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
