Uma Girish
Grief Guide, Hay House Author, Co-Founder of the International Grief Council

Uma Girish is a Grief Guide, award-winning author, and co-founder of the International Grief Council. She supports spiritually-oriented women who are grieving a loss, whether it is the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, the loss of a dream or watching a parent die. She helps them make peace with their pain so they can finally feel a sense of control over their lives. Healing, Uma believes, is the first step in opening up to one's divine potential and purpose.

Uma is also an award-winning author whose writing has been published in seven countries. Her first book Understanding Death: 10 Ways to Inner Peace for the Grieving was an attempt to seek answers to the top questions she had when her mother died in 2009. Her transformational memoir Losing Amma, Finding Home: A Memoir About Love, Loss and Life's Detours was published by Hay House. Her third book Lessons from Grace: What A Baby Taught Me About Living and Loving will be published in 2019.

As co-founder of the International Grief Council, Uma's mission is to create safe spaces for the difficult conversations we need to have around death and dying.
